[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Lisheen Castle is roughly an hour’s drive east of almost any point on the east side of Lough Derg and well worth a visit.
There are many lakeside villages and towns to explore from Killaloe on the southern tip of the lake to Portumna on the Northern tip. If you are driving you could easily travel from north to south of the lake in one day taking the beautiful villages of Terryglass, Dromineer and Garrkennedy, on the way. Alternatively why not rent out a boat navigate the lake itself?
If your interest is in Castles and Heritage, Angling & Fishing or maybe it’s hillwalking and hiking that gets your blood flowing – the Lough Derg Lakelands has plenty to offer.
You will find plenty of information on the Lough Derg Lakelands website and Discover Ireland[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][us_btn text=”Lough Derg Lakelands” link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Fwww.discoverloughderg.ie%2Fcategory%2Fcastles-culture-heritage%2F||target:%20_blank|” color=”secondary”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][us_btn text=”Discover Ireland – Lough Derg” link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Fwww.discoverireland.ie%2FPlaces-To-Go%2FDestinations-L-W%2FLakelands-of-Ireland%2FLough-Derg||target:%20_blank|” color=”secondary”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row height=”small”][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]For further information on other attractions near to Lisheen Castle you can peruse our page on Arts, Culture & Heritage.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][us_btn text=”Arts, Culture & Heritage Attractions” link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Fwww.lisheencastle.com%2Flocal-attractions%2Farts-culture-heritage%2F||target:%20_blank|” color=”secondary”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
